Welcome to the ministry of the Christian Evangelistic Mission! Since 1957 CEM has been committed to the mission of "promoting church growth by planting and nurturing churches". The Christian Churches/Churches of Christ number 125 congregations in the state of Iowa, and over the years CEM has been a catalyst to help plant dynamic new churches.

The Christian Churches/Churches of Christ are one of the fastest growing religious groups in the United States today according to the Glemary Research Center. They conducted a study on behalf of the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies. Their report was entitled "Religious Congregations and Membership: 2000". In their research they reported that our fellowship of churches grew nationwide by a very healthy 18.6% during the past decade. That is great news! I believe that our church planting efforts across the country have helped contribute to this amazing growth period in our Movement's history!
